Previously CACI‘s chief operating officer and president of U.S. operations, in 2019 Mengucci became president and CEO of the contractor, which made the Fortune 500 last year at No. 484. CACI has 25,000 employees worldwide and reported $7.7 billion in fiscal 2024 revenue, up 14% from 2023. The company continued its growth in fiscal 2025, reporting $8.6 billion in revenue.
Before CACI, Mengucci was president of Lockheed Martin’s information systems and global solutions civil segment. CACI acquired Fairfax-based Azure Summit Technology and Reston’s Applied Insight in 2024, and in December 2025, CACI announced it had entered an agreement to purchase Connecticut aerospace and defense contractor Arka Group for $2.6 billion in cash.
In November 2024, a federal jury found CACI liable for the abuse two decades earlier of three Iraqi detainees at Abu Ghraib and awarded the men $42 million. CACI’s attorneys maintained there was no evidence its workers participated in abuse, and the company has appealed the ruling.
A Clarkson University and Syracuse University graduate, Mengucci is vice chair of Clarkson’s board of trustees.
