2026 Virginia Black Business Leaders Awards: DAVE LEVY

At Amazon Web Services, where he’s worked since 2023, Levy oversees work for global clients in government, education, aerospace and satellite, nonprofits and health care and life sciences. His team helps customers who want to harness data and look for ways to leverage the cloud for machine learning and artificial intelligence insights.

Previously, Levy served for six years as vice president of AWS’s U.S. government, nonprofit and nonprofit health care businesses.

From 2005 to 2017, Levy was head of U.S. government sales for Apple. Under his leadership, Apple’s government business grew from $250 million to $1.2 billion over a four-year period. Levy also previously worked for

Monster.com, started Empire Capital Management, and co-founded Sulla Technology Group, a data center services company focused on higher education and government clients. Levy holds a bachelor’s degree in international economics from Texas Tech University.

In October 2025, Amazon announced that AWS segment sales increased 20% year-over-year to $33 billion.
