Veterans hiring program reaches new milestone
Virginia’s program to encourage more employers to hire veterans has certified 103 companies that have committed to providing more than 4,000 jobs to returning service personnel.
The Department of Veterans Services; Virginia Values Veterans Program (V3) has certified the companies and reported Thursday that 2,487 Virginia veterans already have been hired.
Two employer training events have been scheduled:
-V3 Training Day at the University of Virginia’s Darden School of Business, Charlottesville, Aug. 7, 8 a.m. until 3 p.m.
-Virginia Values Veterans Conference, The Inn at Virginia Tech, Blacksburg, Aug. 20, 8 a.m. until 5 p.m.
