Record passenger growth and major capital investment have defined Perryman’s four-year tenure leading Norfolk International Airport, which welcomed nearly 4.89 million passengers in 2025 — its fourth consecutive year of record traffic.

Perryman is overseeing a nearly $1 billion multi-phase project to upgrade airport infrastructure and add a new international arrivals facility, an expanded Concourse A, a consolidated TSA checkpoint, new dining and retail concessions and a new airline ticketing lobby.

Since becoming president and CEO in 2022, Perryman has expanded the airport’s carrier lineup and introduced new service, including Breeze Airways’ nonstop flights to Cancún, Mexico, the airport’s first regularly scheduled international route in more than two decades. A study by Old Dominion University found the airport generated $2.68 billion in economic impact in 2024, supporting nearly 22,500 jobs across Virginia and northeast North Carolina.

An Arizona State University graduate and associate member of the American Institute of Architects, Perryman was named Virginia’s Airport Manager of the Year by the Virginia Department of Aviation in 2025 and has appeared on the Virginia 500 Power List for three consecutive years.
