GXO Logistics Worldwide, a subsidiary of Connecticut-based contract logistics provider GXO Logistics, plans to lay off 66 employees at its eastern Henrico County facility, according to a state notice dated Monday.
The layoffs are related to the company ceasing operations for an unspecified employer, according to a letter sent to comply with the Worker Adjustment and Retraining Notification Act. The affected employees are expected to lose their jobs June 30.
The employees who work in Building A of 4000 Technology Court in Sandston are not members of a union and do not have bumping rights for other positions within the company.
The majority of the laid-off positions, 31, are forklift operators. Customer service representatives and material handlers are among other positions impacted.
GXO Logistics did not immediately respond to a request for comment Wednesday.
GXO Logistics reported $13.2 billion in revenue for full-year 2025, up 12.5% year over year. The company has more than 86,000 employees globally and more than 21,500 in the United States as of Oct. 31, 2024.
