Reston-based Fortune 500 government contractor CACI International won a U.S. Army contract valued at up to $287 million, according to a Thursday announcement.
Through the seven-year contract, CACI will modernize the Army’s Integrated Personnel and Pay System – Army (IPPS-A), a web-based human resources and pay system for Army soldiers. CACI will provide services that help the system roll out updates faster, improve its performance and boost flexibility and adaptability, according to a news release.
CACI President and CEO John Mengucci said in a statement, “Our dedicated team has a complete understanding [of] IPPS-A, and their unmatched experience ensures purposeful acceleration, delivering high-value technology rapidly with the flexibility and efficiency needed to support the Army’s ever-evolving missions.”
Since 2023, more than 1 million soldiers have used IPPS-A to access their personal records, update their information and manage their pay and benefits via an online portal.
Founded in 1962, CACI serves intelligence and defense agencies. It has more than 27,000 employees and reported $8.6 billion in revenue for fiscal 2025.
Last month, it acquired Danbury, Connecticut-based aerospace and defense contractor Arka Group for $2.6 billion.
