Robertson spent six years working as an elementary and middle school teacher in Pittsylvania County before launching TECHnista in 2021. Today, she leads a 15-person team at the Ringgold-based consulting firm that develops curriculum for technical concepts for K-12 students. In fall 2025, TECHnista’s Manufacturing and Engineering Education Reimagined for All project helped 562 students in five pilot schools in Michigan and Hawaii envision themselves in a manufacturing career. By 2029, Robertson expects 200,000 students will have participated in the program.
KEY TO MY SUCCESS: My commitment to doing things for the right reasons. I try to always lead with a genuine belief that people matter. We have intentionally built a close-knit, family-oriented team culture at TECHnista where individuals feel valued, motivated and empowered to do meaningful work.
SOMETHING SURPRISING ABOUT ME: When I was little, my dream job was to be a school bus driver!
