Under former Gov. Glenn Youngkin, Segura served as secretary of commerce and trade, overseeing 13 agencies with 1,300 team members and a $3 billion budget. During his tenure, Segura, who speaks five languages, translated a state business handbook into Spanish. Before entering public service, he co-founded Babyscripts, a startup that produced an app to improve care for expectant mothers. A CPA, Segura studied accounting and East Asian studies at the University of Notre Dame.
